We are giving this up-date to keep you informed of the proposed work. The developer (Sunbury homes) have, like all of us, suffered from the appalling weather over the last few months. Indeed they inform us that 17,000 gallons of water were pumped off the site of plots 4-7 after the bank holiday in order to continue further works, and for the required inspections to take place.

Out of courtesy to the village, and as a gesture of goodwill to us, they offered to start work on the hall at the same time as building the housing units (they didn’t actually have to start on the hall until 10 houses were built and sold).

As with any development of this nature, there have been some required amendments in some design and structure details of the hall, which engineers and architects are ironing out between themselves and, when they have finished, further progress will be made. This will happen over the coming days.

It’s worth reminding everyone that the village has waited 20+ years for a new hall –please be patient it’s on the way
