Darsham Parish Council is mainly funded by a precept, which is an amount of money paid to it from the District Council. Occasionally it can receive various grants and also has a small income from the allotments.
Currently the council receives £5250 which is raised from the rates of each household in the parish. The exact amound paid by each household can be seen on your rates bill each year.
A large portion of this amount is used on clerks wages and the remainder spent on various costs which can be viewed on the accounts published on this page.
The Clerk acts as the Responsible Financial Officer and the Council appoint an internal auditor, a qualified accountant, to review its accounts each year. The accounts are currently exempt from an external audit as their expenditure does not exceed £25000 per anum. The Certificate of Exemption can be viewed on this page.
